The PPK pistol was introduced into production in 1931/32, apparently starting with serial numbers around 757800. The PPK uses a shorter barrel, slide and magazine, had a one piece plastic wrap-around grip, and was designed for easier concealment. Pearson, the world of Walther pistol production and vintage Walther pistol collecting (PP and PPK) is perhaps a little less mysterious and perhaps we are a little more enlightened as a result.
